Juan López-Ríos de Castro

Juan is a 2023 summer intern at Encord. He is a Theoretical Physics student at University College London (UCL). He holds a bachelor degree and is looking forward to embarking on a master in Machine Learning and Physics at UCL. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he completed two internships at King’s College London, where he focused on molecular dynamics and polymer simulations using tools such as bash and python. At Encord, he is delving into Object Segmentation using Visual Foundation Models, matching Mask-RCNN against SAM and evaluating performance capabilities. After his internship at Encord, he aspires to pursue a career in Computer Vision.
